This hands-on workshop will delve into the more complex elements involved in shooting reconstruction. This workshop provides an A-Z approach to reconstructive factors based upon effective documentation, evidence recovery, evaluation and ultimate reconstruction.

The hands-on approach to an actual shooting incident will allow students to explore reconstructive techniques and the creation of demonstrative illustrations for testimony.

Course includes:

  • Understanding weaponry/ammunitions
  • Crime Scene Management/Preservation
  • Documentation/Perspective as a reconstructive factor
  • Measurements; Lasers & Sketches
  • Gunshot Residue as a reconstructive factor
  • Evaluating clothing as evidence (Trajectories, Gunshot Residues)
  • Reconstruction of actual shooting event(s)
